Delegation from CDSS of Australian Defence College visited NISCSS

On 9 May 2016, the delegation from the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies (CDSS) of Australian Defence College visited NISCSS. The CDSS group consists of approximately 60 students and staff, headed by Ian Errington, Principal of the Centre. 

 

NISCSS President Wu Shicun chaired a session with the delegation. The two sides conducted an in-depth discussion on various topics, such as the current situation and the outlook of the South China Sea, confidence building measures, crisis management mechanisms and the arbitration launched by the Philippines against China.

 

This course conducted by CDSS is designed to offer training on defence and strategic studies for senior military officers and other government officials from the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and the Middle East, particularly those that share Australia's interests. The course participants come from 16 countries, including Australia, Germany, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Japan and China, etc.
