On January 18, 2024, CCCEU Secretary General Fang Dongkui held a meeting with President Wang Sheng of the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCS) and his accompanying delegation. Discussions during the meeting covered various topics, including China-EU relations and the business environment in Europe.

During the meeting, Fang provided the delegation with an overview of CCCEU's activities and highlighted key insights from the Chamber's latest flagship report. Fang expressed CCCEU's readiness to contribute to the growth of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

President Wang, in turn, introduced NISCS's research initiatives and mission. He conveyed his desire to enhance the resource platform in Europe through collaboration with the Chamber and emphasised the importance of conducting in-depth research on China-EU relations.
