The second Arctic/Asia-Pacific Maritime Workshop: Sea Lines of Communication Security in the Asia Pacific and the Arctic was held on June 6, 2014 by the National Institute for South China Sea Studies and the China Institute of the University of Alberta, Canada. 

    President Wu delivered both opening and closing remarks. He also chaired panel 3, “SLOC Security and Maritime Disputes: Political Perspectives”. Dr. Hong Nong attended the workshop as a panel speaker.
