On 19 December 2014, Professor Howard French from Columbia University visited the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS). NISCSS President Wu Shicun met with the guest. The two sides exchanged ideas about great-power relations, the building of regional security mechanism in Asia, China’s foreign policy, the South China Sea dispute and other issues.
