On 22 January 2017, Gordon Houlden, director of the China Institute at the University of Alberta and adjunct research professor of the NISCSS, held a lecture on China-U.S. relations in Trump’s era during his academic visit to the NISCSS, and held a discussion with part of NISCSS research staff.
