On September 13, 2017, Dr. Vivian Forbes, adjunct research professor of the NISCSS and professor of School of Earth and Environment at the University of Western Australia, delivered a lecture entitled "Straits of Singapore: Actual and Potential Territorial Sea Boundaries Implications and Issues". President Wu Shicun and some research fellows of the NISCSS attended the lecture.
