Wu Shicun attended Munich Security Conference 2018

From 16 to 18 February 2018, President Wu Shicun attended the 54th  Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Munich, Germany, upon the invitation of MSC Chairman Wolfgang Ischinger.

 

The agenda for MSC 2018 focuses on an array of crucial issues such as global security, regional geopolitical crisis and arms control. The MSC has brought together more than 20 heads of state and government, as well as hundreds of cabinet ministers, leaders of international organizations and senior decision-makers across the globe, including UK Prime Minister Theresa May, US Secretary of Defense James Mattis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. Fu Ying, Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress of China, participated in the conference and addressed a panel on nuclear security.

 

Founded in 1963 and evolved over the past five decades, the MSC has become a high-profile global forum for the discussion of security policy.
