On 10 April 2018, President Wu Shicun met with Mr. Robert Hinkel, Chief Operating Officer of Asia Pacific at Husky Energy Inc., in Boao, Hainan. Dr. Wu and Mr. Hinkel exchanged views on issues such as the hydrocarbon resources development in the South China Sea, deep-water drilling, and the prospects of Hainan Province’s reform and opening-up.

Husky Energy is one of Canada’s largest integrated energy companies. Mr. Hinkel was invited to attend in the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018.
