Premier Li Calls for More China-U.S. Communication When Meeting Pelosi

"Chinese Premier Li Keqiang called for more communication between China and the United States to properly manage their relations in his meeting with House of Representatives Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi here on Friday.


It is normal for the two countries, with different history, culture, social system and development stage, to have different view or even dispute some issues, but they share more mutual interest than disputes, Li said.


The two countries should properly manage the general orientation of the bilateral ties, respect and treat each other with equity, expand common interest, promote substantial cooperation, increase cultural and people-to-people exchanges, strengthen communication and coordination on international issues, and constructively control their disputes through dialogue and consultation, he noted."
