"The U.S. and Chinese militaries concluded joint talks Nov. 24 amid rising tensions over the South China Sea.
Meeting at the Pacific Air Forces Headquarters at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam, Hawaii, the two nations discussed 'maintaining open lines of communications and established norms of behavior' for air and naval safety, according to an Air Force news release."
