N. Korea condemns Moon's trip to China

SEOUL -- North Korea on Sunday condemned President Moon Jae-in for "begging" for increased pressure and sanctions against the regime during his visit to China last week.


Moon returned home Saturday from his four-day trip for talks with his counterpart Xi Jinping. They agreed Thursday to four major principles to resolve North Korea's nuclear program peacefully and reduce tensions on the peninsula.


The Rodong Shinmun, the official newspaper of the North's ruling party, billed Moon's visit "a worthless trip of a beggar trying to get rid of the international isolation caused by his policy of toeing the U.S. line."
