Another day of coronavirus stimulus talks between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin yielded no deal Thursday, though the sides will keep up discussions toward an agreement.
In the absence of a bipartisan plan to boost an economy and health-care system ravaged by the pandemic, House Democrats moved to pass their own $2.2 trillion package Thursday night. Leaving the House floor, Pelosi told reporters the sides would not reach a deal Thursday but would keep talking, according to NBC News.
Asked about the odds of an agreement, Pelosi answered, “I don’t know. It just depends. We’ll see.”
