Over 2 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in China

More than 2 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered across China as of Thursday, the National Health Commission (NHC) said at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.
According to the NHC, more than 1.07 billion people have received at least one dose of vaccine, which is 76 percent of China's 1.4 billion population. Among them, over 889.4 million people have been fully inoculated.
The country aims to achieve herd immunity by the end of this year.
