On 25 March 2016, the NISCSS successfully held the sub-forum of "The South China Sea: Maritime Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures" as part of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016. NISCSS President Wu Shicun was interviewed by multiple media, including CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Hainan Broadcasting Group, Hainan Daily, Shenzhen TV and Want Daily. President Wu shared his views on issues such as maritime cooperation, dispute management, confidence building measures in the South China Sea.
