Ding Duo is Assistant Research Fellow of National Institute for South China Sea Studies, Research Center for Oceans Law and Policy. His research takes an interdisciplinary approach general theory of public international law, international law of the sea, and dispute settlement mechanism. Ding obtained his Master and PhD in Law both in Yonsei University, Korea. His most recent publications include "Introduction to Basici Theories of International Law", "Analysis on the Legal Status of Traditonal Fishing Rights in the Intenational Law of the Sea: from the Perspective of State Practice and International Judicial Practice before and after the Adoption of the UNCLOS", "In disputed South China Sea, Asean claimant states are neither friends nor foes", "China and Indonesia can find common ground over a shared interest: fishing".
