On 16 June 2015, a three-member delegation led by Mr. Matthew Rous, the UK Consul-General in Guangzhou, visited the NISCSS. NISCSS Vice President Xi Jinsong met with the guests and the two sides exchanged ideas about the current situation in the South China Sea. Part of NISCSS research staff attended the meeting.
