On 21 July 2015, at the invitation of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), NISCSS President Wu Shicun attended the Fifth Annual CSIS South China Sea Conference and gave a presentation on the latest developments of the South China Sea situation and the US factor in China-US relations.

During the conference, President Wu was interviewed by over ten media, including People’s Daily, China News Service, China Review News, BBC, VOA and Asahi Shimbun. There were approximately 350 attendees, including scholars from China, Australia, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam, US officials and academia, and media based in Washington DC.

US Congressman Randy Forbes and Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Russel delivered keynote speeches.
