From 12 May to 13 June 2014, Vivian Forbes, professor of the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Western Australia, is scheduled to give a series of lectures on maritime delimitation at NISCSS.

On 12 May, Forbes gave the first lecture on the overview of the UNCLOS. The attendees came from the Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province, the Department of Ocean and Fisheries of Hainan Province, Hainan Reform and Development Commission, Hainan Maritime Safety Administration, the People’s Government of Sansha City, Hainan University, Hainan Normal University and the research staff of the NISCSS.
