On 15 May 2014, a sixteen-member delegation from the U.S. National War College visited the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS) and exchanged views with the research staff and visiting scholars at the NISCSS about the dispute management mechanism in the South China Sea region, maritime law enforcement and U.S. defense policy.

President Wu Shicun attended and chaired the meeting.
