On 3 July 2014, President Wu Shicun of the NISCSS visited the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and attended a roundtable meeting on the South China Sea co-organized by the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center and the Hoover Institution. Scholars from China and the U.S. held an in-depth discussion on China-U.S. Relations, regional security, U.S. Asia-Pacific strategy, the South China Sea dispute, China-Philippines arbitration and other topics and reached many consensuses.
