On 10-11 December 2015, Ms. Yan Yan, deputy director of the Division of International Exchanges at the NISCSS, attended the 3rd Experts Conference on Confidence-Building Measures in the South China Sea in Beijing. Ms. Yan made a speech on confidence-building measures in the South China Sea and maritime security management. The conference was co-organized by China Institute of International Studies and the Humanitarian Dialogue, bringing together over 30 scholars and officials from the ministry of defense, ministry of foreign affairs, navy and maritime law enforcement agencies of China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia.
