On 27 January 2016, participants and lecturers of the China-ASEAN Academy on Ocean Law and Governance visited the Command Center for Maritime Search and Rescue and the patrol ship "Haixun-21" at Hainan Maritime Safety Administration. The two sides exchanged ideas on the maritime safety administration's functions, international cooperation and its role in regional ocean governance.
