On 28 March 2016, NISCSS President Wu Shicun met with CDR Corey Johnston, Assistant Naval Attache of US Embassy in China, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on issues of common concern, including this year’s situation and hotspot issues in the South China Sea, China’s South China Sea policy, and the South China Sea factor in China-U.S. relations.
