On 6 April 2016, NISCSS President Wu Shicun was interviewed by Reuters journalist Megha Rajagopalan in Haikou. President Wu shared his views on various issues, such as the role of Hainan’s fishermen in South China Sea issues, the development of China's maritime law enforcement forces as well as land reclamation and facility development efforts on the Spratly Islands.
