On 20 April 2016, NISCSS President Wu Shicun met with Prof. Hasjim Djalal, director of Indonesian Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) and former Indonesian ambassador at-large for the law of the sea and maritime affairs. The two sides exchanged ideas on the current situation in the South China Sea and future institutional cooperation between the NISCSS and the CSEAS.
