On 20 June 2016, NISCSS President Wu Shicun visited Japanese Ocean Policy Research Foundation (OPRF) in Tokyo and met with OPRF Executive Director Hiroshi TERASHIMA. The two sides exchanged views on think tank development, prospective cooperation and other issues of common concern.

On the afternoon of the same day, President Wu met with Chairman Jiro Hanyu of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
