On 26 October 2016, NISCSS President Wu Shicun delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Law of the Chinese University of Hong Kong on the origin of the South China Sea disputes as well as the latest and future developments of the South China Sea situation.

Deputy Director-General Ma Xinmin of the Department of Treaty and Law of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Counselor Mao Ning of the Department of Asian Affairs of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also made remarks on the legal perspectives of the South China Sea arbitration and China’s relations with neighboring countries.

Present at the lecture were about 100 people from the Faculty of Law of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, including its Dean Christopher Gane.
