On 9 November 2016, Mr. Mohd Nasri Zakariah, media officer of UMNO Malaysia and head of a voluntary organization specializing in emergency civilian rescue, led a 17-member delegation to visit the NISCSS and talked with part of NISCSS research staff on practical cooperation and trust building between China and other countries in the South China Sea region.
