On 21 February 2017, NISCSS President Wu Shicun met with First Secretary Anny Vu from the Political Section of the US Embassy in China and exchanged ideas on maritime security and crisis management in the East China Sea and the South China Sea, the relations between China and the Philippines, as well as the relations and communication mechanisms between China and the US.
