On 13 June 2017, Ms. Rachel Maidment, Consul-General of New Zealand in Guangzhou, visited the NISCSS. NISCSS President Wu Shicun met with the guests and the two sides exchanged views on the current South China Sea situation and China's South China Sea policy.
