On 18 January 2018, President Wu Shicun met with Jose Santiago L. Sta. Romana, Philippine Ambassador to China in Boao, Hainan. Dr. Wu and Amb. Romana exchanged views on issues of mutual concern such as the current situation of the South China Sea, the Philippines’ China Policy, bilateral relations, and the two countries’ regional maritime cooperation.
