Wu Shicun attended China-Japan Dialogue on East China Sea Security in Tokyo

On 3 March 2018, NISCSS President Wu Shicun attended the China-Japan Dialogue on East China Sea Security in Tokyo, Japan. He chaired the panel on international cooperation on maritime search and rescue (MSAR) and spoke on China’s state practice of MSAR and law enforcement.
Co-organized by the Collaborative Innovation Center of South China Sea Studies (CICSCSS) of Nanjing University and Sasakawa Peace Foundation, this year’s dialogue focused on most recent bilateral concerns, such as international cooperation on MSAR and weapons for maritime law enforcement. It brought together around 20 experts and scholars from various think tanks, research institutes, universities and government agencies, such as NISCSS, Nanjing University, Peking University, Wuhan University, Tokyo University, Osaka University, National Security Secretariat and National Defense Academy of Japan. The Dialogue was co-moderated by Professor Zhu Feng, Executive Director of the CICSCSS, and Admiral Saito Takashi (Ret.), former Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff of the Japanese Ministry of Defense and Chairman of Public Interest Corporation Suikokai.
