On 12 March 2018, President Wu Shicun met with Lee Jones, Associate Professor in International Politics at Queen Mary University of London, in Haikou. Dr. Wu and Dr. Jones exchanged views on issues such as China’s South China Sea policy, the build-up of China’s maritime law enforcement forces, and management of maritime militia.

Professor Jones would stay at the NISCSS for one week for his research project.
