On February 2-5, 2015, at the invitation of Japan's Sasakawa Peace Foundation, NISCSS President Wu Shicun attended a two-day academic conference entitled “China-Japan Dialogue on Security of East China Sea Airspace” in Tokyo and delivered an important speech on crisis management mechanism and confidence building mechanism. President Wu also voiced China’s stance and attitude toward Japan’s echo of U.S. suggestion on conducting air patrols over the South China Sea. The attendees also included scholars and experts from Nanjing University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, National Defence University PLA China, Air Force Command College and others.
