On 5 July 2018, a delegation led by Tim Quigley, Chairman of the Sister Cities International visited the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS). The delegation had a roundtable discussion with NISCSS research fellows on cooperation between Hainan and the United States under the Belt & Road Initiative framework in various fields, such as culture, education, information exchanges and trade.
