On 19 October 2018, Mr. Feny Zamzari, second secretary of the political section of Indonesian Embassy in China, visited the NISCSS, and had a roundtable discussion with NISCSS scholars. The two sides exchanged views on issues of common concern, such as the Indo-Pacific Strategy, cooperation between China and Indonesia under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as future academic exchanges and cooperation projects.
