On 1 February 2019, Yvonne Khor, Senior Researcher at Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (INSAP) in Malaysia, visited the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS), and had a roundtable discussion with NISCSS scholars. The two sides exchanged views on issues of China-Malaysia relationsincluding the on-going negotiation overthe East Coast Rail Link project and South China Sea Code of Conduct, and potential cooperation opportunities between the NISCSS and INSAP.

As a think tank affiliated with the Malaysian Chinese Association, INSAP is dedicated to research and policy consultation on economic, social, educational, security and ethnic-relations issues, and has been a diligent contributor to Malaysian social development and China-Malaysia relationship.
