On 29 March 2019, NISCSS President Wu Shicun met with Mr. Robert Hinkel, Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Asia Pacific of Husky Energy Inc. in Boao, Hainan. Dr. Wu and Mr. Hinkel exchanged views on issues as the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in the South China Sea, construction of Hainan pilot free trade zone and free port with chinese characteristics, especially the business environment for foreign investors in Hainan.
