NISCSS President attended the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations in Beijing

On 15-16 May 2019, NISCSS President Wu Shicun attended the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAD) in Beijing. He delivered a keynote speech at the sub-forum “Sharing Experience on Asian Governance” and chaired one of its panels.
This sub-forum was hosted by China's State Council Information Office and organized by China International Publishing Group. With the theme "Pooling the Wisdom of Diverse Civilizations for a Beautiful Asia," it aims to facilitating exchanges of governance experience and development models and promoting the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and the development strategies of different countries, with a view to providing an "Asian experience" for the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
During the conference, President Wu also gave an interview to the Hainan Daily.
Themed “Deepening Exchanges and Mutual Learning Among Civilizations for an Asian Community with a Shared Future”, the CDAC kicked off on May 15 in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. The Conference brought together more than 2000 government officials and representatives of a variety of fields from 47 countries in and outside Asia. The week-long event includes an opening ceremony, panel discussions, an Asian culture carnival and Asian Civilization Week involving more than 110 activities to showcase the diversity and charm of Asian civilizations.
