On 16 July 2019, Captain Sharad Sinsunwal, Naval Attaché of the Indian Embassy, visited the NISCSS, and met with President Wu Shicun. Dr. Wu and Captain Sinsunwal exchanged views on various issues of mutual concern such as the current situation and future prospect of the South China Sea, the consultation and negotiation of the South China Sea code of conduct, China’s policy on the South China Sea, legal issues related to the South China Sea disputes, the Indo-Pacific Strategy from India’s perspective, and China-India Relations.
