NISCSS Scholar attended the 7th Biennial Conference of the Asian Society of International Law in Quezon City

From 22 to 23 August 2019, the 7th Biennial Conference of the Asian Society of International Law was held in Quezon City, Philippines. Dr. Ding Duo, Assistant Research Fellow of the Research Center of Oceans Law and Policy of NISCSS, attended the conference and delivered a speech on the panel “Beyond the South China Sea Arbitral Ruling: Directions for the Immediate Future from Asian Needs and Perspectives.”
This year’s conference theme is “Rethinking International Law: Finding Common Solutions to Contemporary Civilizational Issues from an Asian Perspective.” The conference brought together more than 300 participants, including judges of various international judicial bodies and international law academics as well as experts, scholars and government officials from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, the United States and Australia.
