On 12 September 2019, Dr. Vivian Louis Forbes, Adjunct Research Professor of NISCSS and Professor of School of Earth and Environment at the University of Western Australia, held a seminar on “The Conciliated Maritime Boundary Delimitation: Australia and Timor-Leste” at the NISCSS. He introduced the historical background and conciliation procedure of the maritime boundary delimitation between Australia and Timor-Leste. President Wu Shicun and research fellows of the NISCSS attended the seminar.

Professor Forbes was invited by NISCSS for an eight-week academic visit from 5 August to 30 September 2019.
