On 11 October 2019, NISCSS President Wu Shicun visited the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, Indonesia (CSIS), accompanied by the delegation of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), headed by Ambassador Yang Yanyi, Member of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Former Chinese Ambassador to Brunei and the European Union. The delegation met with Jusuf Wanandi, CSIS co-founder and Senior Fellow, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees CSIS Foundation, and exchanged views with CSIS scholars on issues of mutual concerns such as China-Indonesia relations, One Belt and One Road, Indo-Pacific Strategy and China-ASEAN relations. The delegation also visited H.E. Xiao Qian, the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia and senior officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
