On 24 October 2019, Kim Dong-Jeon, President of Jeju Research Institute (JRI), visited the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS) and met with President Wu Shicun. The two sides exchanged views on various issues of mutual concern such as China-ROK relations, the development of Hainan pilot free trade zone and free trade port, as well as future cooperation opportunities between the NISCSS and JRI.
