On 12 November 2019, Mr. Alan Windsor, Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou visited the NISCSS and had a roundtable discussion with NISCSS scholars. The two sides exchanged views on issues including China-Vietnam fishery cooperation in Beibu Gulf, deep sea-bed resource exploration and exploitation and marine environmental protection in South China Sea.
