On November 27,  President Wu Shicun met with Colonel Rune Støtvig, the Defense Attache of the Embassy of Norway to China, in the NISCSS. Dr.Wu and Colonel Rune Støtvig exchanged views on the current situation in the South China Sea, potential factors that are likely to influence the future in the region, Ocean governance and fisheries management.
