On November 25th, Dr. Wu Shicun attended the 7th China-Japan-Korea cooperation dialogue themed “CJK Co-Navigation and Emerging Opportunities amid COVID-19 Pandemic”. Dr. Wu delivered a speech and put forwarded four suggestions on cooperation between East Asian countries. First, it is hoped that Japan will take practical actions to support China to join CPTPP.
And China, Japan and Korea should accelerate the negotiation of China-Japan-ROK FTA. Second, the three countries should focus on economic recovery amid COVID-19 Pandemic and maintain the stability of supply chain and industrial chain. Third, the three countries could take advantage of the special policy of Okinawa free trade zone, Jeju Island free trande zone and Hainan free trade port to promote the tourism integration of "Okinawa-Jeju Island-Hainan Island". Fourth, the three countries should promote pragmatic cooperation on marine environmental protection and ocean governance.
