On April 23-24, 2015, the international conference entitled "Towards Peace and Stability in the South China Sea" was held at Nanjing University, with the organizers being the Center on Asia and Globalization of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and the Center for Collaborative Studies of South China Sea at Nanjing University. NISCSS President Wu Shicun attended the conference and delivered a report entitled "New Development in the South China Sea and China 's Policies: A Chinese Perspective". Present at the conference were about fifty scholars and experts from colleges, universities and research agencies, including the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, the National University of Malaysia, the Philippine Miriam College, the University of Central Lancashire, the NISCSS, China Institute for Marine Affairs of the State Oceanic Administration, Peking University, Xiamen University and Jinan University, etc.
