A delegation from East-West Center visits NISCSS

On 13 May 2015, a sixteen-member delegation of the 2015 Jefferson Fellowships from the East-West Center visits the NISCSS and exchanges ideas with NISCSS research staff on various topics, including the current situation in the South China Sea, the mechanism of crisis management and joint development.
This delegation is composed of journalists from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, China and Chinese Taiwan.
Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, the East-West Center was established by the U.S. Congress in 1960 as a think tank to strengthen understanding and relations between the United States and Asia-Pacific countries. The Jefferson Fellowships is a program to facilitate exchanges and training for journalists in the Asia-Pacific region. The theme of this year's Jefferson Fellowships program is "South China Sea Situation: Trade, Resource and Conflict".
NISCSS President Wu Shicun attended and presided over the meeting.
