"Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with Maldives President Abdulla Yameen on Thursday in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

Hailing long-term friendship between the two countries, Li stressed China is willing to work with the Maldives to fully implement the consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Yameen.

China is ready to deepen pragmatic cooperation with the Maldives in economy, trade, infrastructure, tourism, ocean and other fields so as to better benefit the two peoples, said Li."
